Perry and Joan were married and birthed Rayna, who lives in Seattle. One year after Perry's death Joan got the first sea-mud sample and then, by selling one of Perry's guitars, she was able to buy the kiln that has produced her work since 1997. (And when she opens new firings she plays his music.)
